Winery Compliance
Ann Reynolds,
Wine Compliance Alliance
Principal
"Full
throttle from grape to bottle"
The world of wine production has grown
dramatically over the past decade, and so have the compliance
records wineries & wholesalers are required to maintain.
Wine Compliance Alliance offers services to wineries
and wholesaler license holders who need assistance keeping
up to date with all of this. These include federal and
state permits/licenses, recordkeeping systems, federal
label approval, direct shipping, and compliance training.
Wine education is also available to those wine lovers
looking to increase their knowledge and appreciation
of wine from a compliance viewpoint.
My winery background includes a thorough range of work
experiences over the past 20 years that spans from tasting
rooms through laboratory and cellar work to the records/compliance
area. I have designed and maintained records systems
for wineries at the medium and large scale level. These
include; Viansa Winery, Sterling Vineyards and
Caymus Vineyards. All of this has given me a
complete understanding of the entire process which enables
me to best serve my clients needs. I also have been
teaching a winery compliance course in Napa Valley
College's Winery Technology program since 2006.
This teaching background allows me to better explain
to clients how the sometimes maze of compliance all
fits together in an understandable way.
I am a native "Napkin". My family moved here
in 1967. I did not start out to become a member of the
wine industry, but thanks to a tight teaching job market
back in 1993 it found me. It has also allowed me to
experience combining work with travel as I worked at
a winery laboratory business in Blenheim, New Zealand
in 1997 for 6 wonderful months!
